Cynthia Desmond
The latest in a long line of actresses to play the role of Sister in Late Nite Catechism, Cynthia Desmond is founder of ID/Ego productions and most recently appeared in its production of The Blob--the Musical. Some of her favorite roles include Anne Welles in Valley of the Dolls, Ben Cartwright in The All Female Version of Bonanza, Rhoda in The Bad Seed, and the characters of Women on Men, a one-woman show she wrote and performed. In addition to commerial and industrial film work, she has appeared at City Lit, Shakespeare Rep, Steppenwolf, Victory Gardens, and many other theaters in Chicago.An Irish Catholic, she went through college being taught by nuns.
